Hi, I’m Miki

My journey to becoming a therapist has been anything but a straight line—more like a piece of abstract art I'd call "Falling Ass-Backwards Into Victory." While my passion for helping others has always been a driving force, the path here has been full of unexpected twists and turns, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

As a queer, nerdy practitioner of ethical non-monogamy, I know firsthand the emotional and psychological toll of being misunderstood. My experiences range from working blue-collar jobs to serving as a union president, giving me a deep understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that come with hard work and the pursuit of a brighter future. Growing up in a cultural environment where seeking help was often stigmatized, I understand the courage it takes to reach out for support.

Outside of my work, I'm a tinkerer at heart. Whether I'm working on my motorcycle, experimenting with my 3D printer, or perfecting my character build in Cyberpunk 2077, I love to embrace the messiness of learning and growing. I often find myself covered in dust, but that's part of the fun and discovery. Just as I tell my clients, stumbling along the way is all part of the journey—and it's through these experiences that we find joy and authenticity, free from the pressures of conforming to societal norms.

I strive to foster an environment where you can explore and embrace your true self without judgment.

Collaboration is at the heart of my approach. I see therapy as a partnership where you are the expert on your life, and I am here to guide and support you. Together, we will work towards your goals, celebrating progress and navigating obstacles along the way. Whether you're on the autism spectrum, living with ADHD, or anywhere else on the 4-dimensional neurodiversity chess board, I'm here to provide support and guidance that not only respects but also celebrates your individuality.

I integrate various therapeutic techniques, including dialectical-behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices, to address issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Each session is an opportunity to delve into your experiences, uncover insights, and develop practical skills to enhance your daily life.

My methods are informed by a deep understanding of neurodiversity, allowing me to provide strategies and support that align with your specific challenges and strengths. Together, we'll develop personalized tools to help you navigate everyday life, enhance your well-being, and achieve your goals. I'm a firm believer in speaking honestly with you, so we can see things as they truly are. As a passionate D&D dungeon master, I'm not averse to a little roleplay, channeling my inner theater kid, and the occasional display of my repertoire of voices and acting skills!

Hi, I’m Rachel

My journey to becoming a therapist has been shaped by life experiences that taught me the power of empathy and resilience. I learned early on what it meant to care for others, but over time, I found my own path and discovered that my strengths lie in compassion and connection. I am also a mom, which gives me a unique perspective on life’s challenges and joys, and has taught me the importance of patience, humor, and an open heart.

As someone who has faced personal struggles, including navigating a learning disability, I understand the fear of being misunderstood or seen as “less than.” These experiences have deepened my ability to support clients in overcoming self-doubt and recognizing their inner strengths. I bring an open mind and a genuine desire to see each person beyond their challenges, celebrating their strengths and helping them reconnect with their true selves.

Therapy with me is a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether you’re here to explore your identity, seek support as a caregiver, or navigate life’s inevitable transitions, I’ll be by your side, offering gentle guidance and genuine compassion. My clients have shared that they feel validated and comforted by my presence, and it’s an honour to be part of their journey.

Outside of therapy, my love for the theatre speaks to my joy in collaboration and supporting others behind the scenes. Like a stage manager quietly enables every scene to flow smoothly, I see my role as helping you find your direction and shine in your life.

Therapy with me is a gentle yet supportive experience, where you can find validation, reassurance, and a place to explore your true self. I’ll help guide you to cut through distractions, re-center your perspectives, and reclaim your power.

I work with individuals, couples, and caregivers, providing a safe space to navigate challenges related to identity, relationships, and life transitions. My sessions are shaped by my own experiences of growth and resilience, including a journey away from a strict upbringing, managing a learning disability, and embracing the fullness of who I am. In our work together, I draw on various therapeutic techniques, including narrative therapy, person-centred therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), to name a few. I understand firsthand the courage it takes to challenge beliefs, confront fears, and find strength through vulnerability.

Whether you’re here to explore personal challenges, strengthen your relationships, or seek support as a caregiver, I’m committed to walking alongside you with warmth and gentle encouragement.
